The experience

At The Nails Place, we strive for excellence, we use the finest possible products and all our staff are trained to the highest standards, enabling us to create your perfect nails.

We have relocated to a more central location in St. Annes and have new facilities and a great modern salon which you will love. Not only do we have a new salon, but there is new equipment including the fantastic luxury spa chair, which you must try! Ask us about any special offers we have at the moment.

We are also investing in new services and technologies all the time, for instance we are installing an SMS reminder service soon which will remind you of the time and date of your appointment so you don’t need to worry about forgetting!

The key thing for us at The Nails Place is making your experience as relaxing and comfortable as possible.

The technical bit:

All our nails are fully sculptured using the latest acrylic system.

We attach a form under the free edge of your natural nail and then build you a new one using a liquid/powder formula. Polymerisation causes the formula to harden. Once the acrylic is dry, we use an electric file to smooth over the nail, tidy around your cuticles, and shorten the nail to desired length.

We then use a manual nail file to put in your desired shape, finally we buff over the nail, smoothing out any final ridges and apple a UV gel top coat which adds high shine and helps to protect the nail.

Every 3-4 weeks you will need to revisit us to have your nails either infilled or back filled.

Nail growth causes a gap between the bottom of the enhancement and your finger, resulting in your natural nail been exposed. With an infill, we file the around the bottom of the nail, and fill the gap with acrylic.

We then carry out the filing as we would when putting your nails on. A back fill is required when your nail starts to grow, and your natural nail is visible through the acrylic. We file the nail right down, so your natural nail is exposed, and we reposition the smile line and rebuild the nail, so they look brand new again. We file and reapply the UV top coat.

The legal bit:

Unfortunately if you are under the age of 16, we are unable to treat you for acrylic nails or gel toes.
